The best beach clubs and bars in Barcelona

On

Bogatell Beach nightlife

At night, the area close to Bogatell Beach soars with restaurants and nightlife, especially close to Gehry’s “Golden fish”. Shoko, Catwalk and Opium are the biggest clubs in the area.

Bogatell Beach

Similar to all the beaches on the northeastern side of the Olympic Port, Bogatell Beach was part of the urban planning that made the waterfront accesible for all the Barcelona residents. It’s connected to the rest of the Barcelona beaches by the Passeig Marítim. Located within walking distance from Poblenou neighborhood, Bogatell is known for being less crowded and the perfect beach for a sun soaked day and a visit to one of its many nearby restaurants and bars.

GOOD CHOICE: Find Hotels near Bogatell Beach

Why visit Bogatell beach?

Due to its location, along with Nova Icària, Bogatell is one of the most visited beaches to the left side of the Olympic Port. Among other reasons, it’s also considered one of the safest beaches in Barcelona, not that others are dangerous but either way, in any Barcelona beach you should always keep an eye on your belongings. In contrast with Barceloneta or Somorrostro Beach, frequented by a younger crowd, this is one of the more “adult beaches” of the Barcelona coastline, with an age average of around 35-38 years old.

Bogatell Beach is one of those “must” places to visit during the charming summer months in Barcelona. Several seafood restaurants are located right on the beach front. Xiringuito Escribà (Av. del Litoral, 62) and L’Escamarlà (Passeig Marítim del Bogatell, 40) are 2 of the most famous traditional paella and fideuà restaurants by the seafront. Enjoy a fantastic meal out in the open air with the lovely view of the beach. If you enjoy beach sports, there are ping-pong table near the breakwater, as well as a volleyball court.
