Most of Barcelona’s windsurfers head out of the city to Badalona, just 10km north. Apart from providing an un-crowded beach, this area also lets windsurfers store their gear at one of three windsurfing clubs (CN Bétulo, CN Badalona, and Benjiwind Badalona).

Locals agree that the prevailing thermal wind blows stronger here than at any of the other local beaches – the perfect setting for windsurfing. Depending on the wind force and direction, the conditions here allow windsurfers the ideal opportunity to free ride / bump and jump as they proceed further out to sea.

Although there are no windsurf hire centres in Badalona, gear can be hired from the CN Bétulo sailing school. For windsurfing lessons (as well as sailing, canoeing, swimming, surfing and SUP surfing), contact La Escola del Vent (the wind school).
